Hi Reader,
I can usually spot what's holding a site back from converting within the first few minutes of looking at it. (Not because I have some kind of magic ability, but I wish I had some😂), but because I've been doing this long enough to know what to look for, and it took me years to build that eye. Let me show you what I mean:
👩🏻 Someone comes to me with a site that looks polished and professional but the leads just aren't coming in.
👩🏾🦱 Someone else has traffic (good traffic!) but barely anyone is booking or buying.
👱🏽♀️Another person had a designer redo their whole look last year and it's still not working.
🧑🏿🦱And then there's someone who's been tweaking her copy for months, convinced that's the problem, and nothing is shifting.
Most people hear four different (and disconnected) problems.
I see the same pattern every time: a strategy gap (sometimes a big black hole, sometimes a smaller gap) dressed up in design clothes.
Here's what I'm watching for:
- The positioning is vague enough that the right person lands on the page and can't immediately tell if this is for them.
- The page structure is doing the “pretty design” job but not the conversion job, so visitors have nowhere to go and no clear reason to take the next step.
- The copy is describing the offer instead of doing the persuading.
- Aaaand the brand and the website were built separately by people who never talked, so nothing is pulling in the same direction.

The design isn't the problem (it rarely is), the strategy that should have been underneath it (guiding it and informing it from the beginning) is nowhere to be found.
And once you can see it for yourself, you can’t unsee it!
You stop throwing money and time at the wrong layer. You stop redesigning when you actually need repositioning. You stop rewriting copy when the real issue is page flow. (Aka, you start solving the actual problem, fast, and the results reflect that)
That is why I do my Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Audits.
It applies my RAINBOW method to your existing pages (you can see a breakdown of my method here), the same method that produced a 21.46% conversion rate on a sales page when the industry average sits around 2.5% to 3%. You get specific, actionable recommendations, not vague notes and a "good luck!".
If you're ready to stop guessing which layer the problem lives on, you can book a CRO Audit for only $497 here.
Or if you already know you want your brand and website handled end to end, a discovery call is where we figure out how this looks for you!
Cheers to figuring this out,
